Frequently Asked Questions
What is SKNK?
SKNK is an on-chain gaming protocol built around shared liquidity pools. Players open tickets against pool liquidity, while liquidity providers (LPs) supply the capital that games and payouts draw from.
What makes SKNK different from traditional gaming platforms?
Traditional platforms operate with a central house that controls the bankroll, pricing, and payouts. SKNK replaces that model with on-chain contracts and shared liquidity:
- Outcomes and settlement are verifiable on-chain.
- Liquidity providers, rather than a single operator, supply the bankroll.
- Players can participate directly against protocol liquidity.
- LPs earn from swap fees and game edge rather than relying on a centralized operator model.
How does gameplay on SKNK work?
When a player opens a ticket, they are playing against liquidity in a target pool, not against another player. If the ticket wins, funds are paid from the pool. If it loses, the player stake is retained by the pool and distributed across LP positions according to pool accounting.
Do I need an existing crypto wallet to use SKNK?
No. SKNK supports social onboarding as well as direct wallet connection. If you prefer self-custody, you can connect your own wallet. If you use the in-app wallet experience, review the custody and security notes in the rest of the docs before storing funds there.
What networks are supported?
SKNK is built on Base.
How do I get assets onto the platform?
You can fund your SKNK account using the in-app deposit flow or by sending supported assets to your SKNK wallet address. The app also supports a human-readable .sknk identity for easier account discovery and transfers within the SKNK ecosystem.
How do I withdraw assets from the platform?
Withdrawals are handled from the wallet section of the app. If funds were won inside a game-specific balance flow, they may need to be claimed from that game before they become available for wallet withdrawal.
Is there a fee for depositing or withdrawing assets?
SKNK does not charge a platform fee for deposits. Withdrawals still require the standard network gas fee needed to submit the transaction on-chain.
What tokens can be used on SKNK?
SKNK supports ETH and standard ERC-20 tokens where a compatible liquidity pool exists. Non-standard ERC-20 tokens, such as fee-on-transfer or rebasing tokens, are not supported.
What is a .sknk name?
A .sknk name is a human-readable identity used inside the SKNK ecosystem instead of relying only on long hexadecimal wallet addresses. It makes profiles, transfers, and account discovery easier to use within SKNK, but it should not be assumed to resolve in external wallets such as MetaMask.
Are the games fair?
Yes. Core game outcomes are resolved using verifiable randomness or transparent game logic, so results can be independently verified. Fairness does not mean zero edge: the protocol is still designed so LPs retain the configured pool edge over time.
What is the return to player (RTP)?
At the protocol level, SKNK targets 99% RTP, meaning the base system is designed around a 1% edge. However, individual games built on top of the protocol may apply their own fees or monetization, so the effective RTP can differ from one game to another.
What is a VRF, and why is it important?
A Verifiable Random Function (VRF) is a cryptographic proof used to generate unbiased random outcomes. In SKNK, VRF-backed games use it so results cannot be predicted or manipulated by players, operators, or integrators.
How the VRF process works:

What games are available right now?
Current games are documented in the Games section. Availability in the app may change over time as games are added, removed, or distributed through third-party integrations.
Is SKNK only luck-based?
The core ticketing flow is randomness-based, but games built on top of SKNK can add their own mechanics and user interaction patterns. Depending on the game, that can include luck-based, timing-based, or strategy-based elements.
Can I earn without playing games?
Yes. Liquidity providers can participate by supplying capital to pools and earning from game edge and swap fees, subject to the risks described in the liquidity documentation.
Can I build or publish a game on SKNK?
Yes. The protocol is designed to support third-party games and integrations. If you want to publish a game in the SKNK ecosystem, contact info@sknk.io.
